Program for November 2011

The dark months ahead can be warmed, coloured and cheered up!

Inspired by traditional techniques we create original, practical, whimsical pieces.

Felting, paper cutting and folding, gentle needlework – you’ll be surprised …

The mini workshops are suitable for children and adults, for making gifts or experimenting freely – good medicine against winter blues and Christmas season stress… Just drop in.

In addition to the minis, two evening workshops are offered. Please register for those. Others can be scheduled upon request.

Tues 1 November   4 p.m.

Patchwork: Bits of fabric will be hand sewn together for a small gift, bag, cushion, cover. Nine patch? Hexagon? Log cabin? Any pattern could be the beginning of a quilt, too!    10€

Thurs 3 November   4 p.m.

Embroidery: Fun, contemporary stitching on greeting cards, fabric or your own tired hat, pocket, skirt. Embellish a felt headband or felt bangle.            10€

Tues 8 November   4 p.m.

Silhouettes: Take home a shadow. We project a life-sized portrait to be used as stencil outline or appliqué for a sofaful of family member cushions or a jacket. 10€

Thurs 10 November   4 p.m.

Lampions: Children and adults love lanterns! Poetic or cheerful “container” will be made for candles and carryable lights.  10€

     3-hour felting workshop 6-9 p.m.

      All levels, make nearly anything as you learn. Experiments welcome!   35€

Tues 15 November   4 p.m.

Felting: Make wool beads, bangles, brooches or finger rings.   10€

Thurs 17 November   4 p.m.

Felting: Ear warmers or hats for Teddy bears, dolls or boiled eggs…   10€

Tues 22 November   4 p.m.

Creative repair: darning and pepping up innovatively and flexibly. Decorative stitches, appliqués and needle felting. Bring your textile problem pieces.  10€

Thurs 24 November   4 p.m.

Collage, stamp, fold, stitch for a personal advent calendar or Christmas cards. 10€

    3-hour felting workshop 6-9 p.m.

    Beginners and advanced felters welcome, in pairs, groups or as singles.  35€

Tues 29 November  4 p.m.

Santas, angels, or family members: small figures for hanging or other decoration are created from felt, wool and other materials.   10€
